Hi everyone, it’s been a while so I thought I’d share a little introduction about me and how my business began 🤍

I’m Rach, and I run @rachpendlespaints alongside my full-time job.

I originally come from a background in portrait photography, and I’ve always loved turning my hand to absolutely anything and everything creative.

Outside of work, I volunteer with native wildlife, love spending time outdoors and unsurprisingly spend A LOT of time painting. (This picture is from when I lived in Australia - the wildlife in the UK is significantly more hedgehog heavy)

At the moment, I’m saving for a house with my boyfriend, and we’re living with his lovely parents - who very kindly don’t seem to mind the ever-growing collection of painted glasses and mirrors taking over the house!

This business started quite organically. My best friend asked for some advice on painting a bottle for her wedding… which quickly turned into me picking up the brushes myself and painting anything I could get my hands on. Not long after, another best friend asked me to create a wedding sign and paint prosecco bottles from her hen party for table numbers.

Since then, it’s grown into what I do today - running my little business alongside my full-time job 🤍

It’s been another busy busy week! I’m now gearing up for my largest glass order this weekend! 🥂

These wildflower wine glasses are some of my favourites I’ve ever done!🪻🌸🍃

I am on holiday the rest of the week! I maybe a little slower with responses and I will pick back up on completing orders next weekend 🌞

Doing a little spot of packing in the garden 🌞

I’ve made some little improvements to the way I will be doing all the personalisation on my flutes moving forward - I’m now going to be using paint opposed to the paint pens I’ve been using for the larger personalisation! I find the paint to be clearer, bolder and of a higher standard! 🎨

RIP to these lovely flutes that were kindly thrown away by @evridelivery, they initially didn’t inform me they did so and now aren’t replying to any of my messages 😂

Luckily this lovely bride has been very understanding and I am now completing the final touches on the replacement set - thank you Evri, these will be sent via courier pigeon this time as I have considerably more faith in their ability to deliver a parcel 🐦 x

I’ll be a little relieved when this weather cools down so packing your orders doesn’t feel like a work out and I’m not racing against the paint drying on the palette before it’s on the glasses 😂

It’s been a busy busy week!

The colour brief for these crystal flutes was ivory, champagne and olive green 🍾

If you have reference pictures of what you’ve requested for your bouquet or of your colour palette, this makes it super helpful to colour match your glasses!

These beautiful bouquet images are not mine but were shared with me so I could reference them when painting the glasses 🌸🌺🌷🪻

My name is Rachel and I am based in Oxfordshire.

With a background in photography and a passion for turning my hand to all things creative, in the lead up to one of my friends weddings, she asked for advice on how she could paint some items for her special day. I was clueless but took away her paints, brushes and some sheer determination, painting anything I could get my hands on in the house. This sparked a passion for giving pre-loved items a new lease of life and creating keepsakes for special occasions.
